Blood, Sweat, & Tears,by Dr. Ogi Ressel

Warm hellos to everyone!
I'm back!
You know you've missed me! Yes! I have that knack of getting under your skin, don't I?
Of whispering in your ear all those things you've tried so hard to shut out!
That's right. No more relaxing for you. No more coasting! No more getting by. Being average.
Being mediocre. Feeling like some second-class citizen. No More! We have work to do! All
those kids and their parents out there that you are not reaching. All those people who need
you! So let's get to it!
For those of you who may not recall, Leslee and I went on a Caribbean cruise. We were
married in the chapel on the ship (on the 15th deck) and we brought all our kids with us - 9
of us!
Could not have chosen a more wonderful way to merge both of our families and have them
all get to know each other! That's right. Can't exactly escape and get off the ship, can you?
Leslee and I are very blessed - all the kids and their fiancés (those who have them) formed
very close bonds and friendships. And those who were reluctant (no one was) would have
been made to scrub the decks! We couldn't have asked for more!
Thank you all for all your wonderful thoughts and wishes and for being patient with me.
Alright....back to my THOT and all those people out there just waiting for you to get your
shit together! (see.......that's what happens when I've been away from writing to you!).
Let's talk about Blood, Sweat, & Tears. No, not the band, the idea!
In other words, building something from nothing. Think about this for a moment:
When you started your practice, you started it from nothing other than a dream. This
also applies to those of you who took over an existing practice. It is your blood, sweat,
and tears that propel it forward.
Listen...there is no free lunch - we all know this. But oftentimes, we all wish that this was
not the case. That the system could be circumvented somehow, and a nice, free lunch was
served. The Universe does not work that way. You actually need to show effort!
Work.
Incredible concept!
It needs to be tireless and unrelenting - but also smart.
In many instances, doctors are willing to work but they want to see the fruits of their labor
immediately.
Oftentimes, it just doesn't work that way. Think of it this way: You are sowing the seeds of
your labor.
Those seeds may not germinate for some time. Time and patience are important elements.
You also need to welcome Risk. Yes, risk. You need to stick your neck out a little.
Ohhhhhh........your palms are sweating?
Let me make this incredibly simple for you; No risk - no life. Pretty well sums it up, doesn't
it?
The fellow who risks is the fellow who gets up that one last time. And that is most often what
is needed to get you to your goal. That is what separates those who are incredibly successful
from those who are mediocre and average. Your unwavering attitude. Your unrelenting drive
to be amazing. Your awesomeness. Your wonderfulness!
The other aspect of this is pride. Pride in your workmanship, yourself, and your effort. I've
always believed that if you do anything in your life, do it with gusto, panache, spizz and
excellence.
There is no halfway house to success!
Often, it is all or nothing! And although shortcuts look alluring, they are no match for the
real thing. Take a good look in the mirror. Go on. Take a look. Do you see a winner? Do you
see someone who has what it takes to make a difference? Do you see yourself an incredibly
successful? Do you see yourself as wanted by everyone in your community? As admired?
As incredible? As someone everyone wants to see? As someone everyone trust implicitly?
You do?
Fabulous!
Atta boy!
Now, get out there and help all those kids who are waiting for a doctor just like you!
And for those of you, who are having challenges in that department, please feel very
welcome to complete the Practice Health Mini-Check Up on my website. It is a practice
diagnostic. It will show me why you are stuck and not getting to where you want to be.
It is completely free and there are no strings attached.
None.
Once you complete it, click the SEND button and it will be sent directly to me and is for
my eyes only.
We'll have a fabulous chat on the phone and we'll simply de-monster your practice.
I'll give you some cool suggestions and some savvy practice advice.
Go on, do it!
Warmest wishes,
Dr. Ogi Ressel
