Warm hellos to everyone!
Ok....you are just getting settled into the New Year - yes, 2010 is finally here!
....And you've promised yourself a very different year this year (Yup, this one's gonna be
different than 2009) - tons of new patients, lots of children and their parents, lots of patients
visits, as well as financial abundance, more free time, and some well-deserved "toys" and
baubles - mustn't forget these! Absolutely!
You certainly deserve everything!
Of course you do!

You've promised yourself that this year will not be the same as the last. Or the one before
that. Or the one before that. Or the one before that..... you are finished with wishing, and
hoping, and dreaming, and scheming, and schlepping around! Right? Of course you're right!
The recession is almost over and Spring is around the corner and it is time to get going!
You can taste the abundance in the air! This is your life and you are going tolive it to the
fullest - starting this brand new year!
No compromise this time and no prisoners will be taken! 
There! That feels really good! You've made a stand! The Universe will now provide!!!!
I like this new attitude of yours! Way to go!

There is only one minor glitch: Your 2010 is just not starting off the way you envisioned! 
That's a problem!
Let's see: New patients just aren't calling, patients are not referring, patients are quitting
care, lots of missed appointments again, same old insurance hassles, patients still have
no money for you, youfeel your amazing CA just isn't there for you this year, your bank
account still has the same negative balance and the Christmas bills are just coming in now!
Definitely not the way you envisioned the start of 2010. No Way!

Ok....enough of brutal reality and beating up on you - you do this all too well to yourself
already!

You see............You need to understand one thing here:
You are still dealing with the same old stuff in your office. The same old procedures, the
same old staff (careful here), the same old furniture, the same old clinical forms - you
know the ones; the ones your patients can barely read because they've been self-copied
so many times, the same old missed appointments, the same old patients leaving your
office, same old pictures on the wall, the same old philosophy you have, the same old
tiresome marketing ploys, the same old salesmanship, the same oldfear tactics you use,
the same old perception your community has of you and what you do, and of course
............the same old doctor - YOU.
Yes, you!
Same old stuff happening in your office, but you expect a totally new result. Right?
Hmmmmm.......2010 is definitely not starting off all that well for you, is it?

What are you to do?

You see.....Realizing and agreeing that this is where you are is already half the battle!
I've mentioned this before: In order for you to really kick butt this year, you need to be
different and do different things - "same old, same old", just doesn't apply here! No!
There are many doctors I chat with everyday that have had a wonderful practice 15-25
years ago, and now just can't meet their financial obligations. And they wonder;
"What happened?"
You need a makeover! Totally! And so does your office. And your staff! And your philosophy!
You need to reinvent and re-create yourself - especially in this economy.
And I don't mean more marketing and flashier ads either, so relax. You need to realize
something, andthis is a huge problem with many doctors, and I am just going to blurt it out:

                                    What you've been doing isn't working!

There I've said it!
Maybe you are just getting started in practice and are working with a set of values acquired
by osmosis from College, or have learned some wonderful marketing and sales techniques
from some coaching seminar (and most of these are totally out of touch with the wants of your
community), or you've been at it for the past 15-35 years. You see, times change and so does
the perception and wants of your community - what they want and what you provide aren't in
synch. Ergo; you are outdated. And as a result,
you are relegated to seeing the acute patient. And only because that is what your community
And you are good at it - you can get them out of pain in no time flat. But this is not what you
want for a practice.
You want a Wellness practice with tons of kids and their parents.
I totally agree - most doctors want this type of practice!

AND that is what your community wants as well - trust me on this. They want a doctor who is
versed in Wellness and NOT in treating LBP, or neck strains, or orthotics, or knee sprains, or
selling snake oil.
They also don't want a marketing wizard and some "slicko-man". (And while I am on this topic
I need to mention one thing: many doctors try to sway their patients with sweetly canned charm
- it is not sincere and simply turns people off! That technique may have worked 25 years ago,
but Today it is seen as insincere and repulsive to most.)
Your community wants to see a doctor who is absolutely the very best at being a doctor.

"But, Dr. Ogi that is what I want also - I want a Wellness practice", you say.  Awesome!

Let me help you!

But.......There is a challenge in this new re-invented and re-created you. Yes! You'll need to
let go of some of the ideas and assumptions and marketing ploys that you are holding onto
and that are holding you back.
You'll need to park your ego and admit that where you are is not where you want to be (and
this is a difficult thing to do). You'll need to welcome change. And you'll need to embrace
your own spirit that will carry you forth.  
Is it really difficult? Absolutely not!
Challenging, yes.
Difficult, No.
It is exhilarating and exciting!

That's it! Simple! This is a good place to start. THEN....I suggest that you enroll in a seminar
program that will teach you how to become the best doctor your community has ever seen.
Ever. ...And by now, you should already have figured out which one it is. And then please call
me.....And forget the hoping, and the scheming, and the schlepping around!

Well....what are you waiting for? Do it!

It is now only eleven months until we have another conversation just like this one.........and
you definitely do not want a repeat of your past performance. No way!

You know what to do....

The frustrating thing is that many of you will not. Many of you will wait and postpone contacting
me because "you are just so busy" going nowhere. You see.....I've heard all the excuses.

Listen.....I know I am in your face..........but you need to hear this message - the Universe has
been talking to you and you have not been listening: There are so many doctors that are
simply squandering their lives living in mediocrity and waiting for life to somehow magically get
better - and they approach their patients withthe same old "stuff" they've used for years - stuff
that does not work Today.
Beats me - must be Cerebral constipation.
You need to get this: There are children in your community just waiting to see you. But their
parents will not take them to see you in your present state. Their parents want to see an
amazing doctor - not someone is just average. Just Ok. Pretty good. No.

So....promise yourself that this is the end of the "old" you. No More!
