My Continuing Message, By Dr. Ogi Ressel

September 02 2009, 12:00 am

Warm hellos to everyone!
The Toronto Program I just returned from teaching, was absolutely amazing!
It was all about learning how to become an exceptional doctor in your community and how to have
people want your care - and unfortunately, you missed the whole thing!

My continuous message to you has been that people in your community are looking for that
exceptional doctor: That amazing individual they can flock you. That incredible doctor they feel they
can trust with the health of their children. That phenomenal person who they are so proud to refer
everyone they meet to.

Many doctors find my message a bit confusing. They feel it couldn't possibly be true. And some feel
that it is some sort of an amazing ploy I've cooked up in order to "have them sign up with me". That
my message is some sort of an elaborate marketing scheme - and they are absolutely not falling for
my spiel. They feel that if it is too good to be true, then it usually is.
Here is what I hear:

"Dr. Ogi, get a life. My patients want pain relief. They want to feel better."
I absolutely agree. Why would someone want to run around with pain?
But beyond that, have you ever explained to them that their discomfort has a reason for being?
Have you mentioned that most likely it is the result of a long-standing Subluxation? A Subluxation
that has been there since they were little? A Subluxation which has become a habit? A Subluxation
that has become a process? A Subluxation that has caused extensive damage to their spine?
A Subluxation which has slowly eroded the vitality of their discs, vertebrae, and musculo-ligamentous
apparatus? A Subluxation that has set into motion a cascade of arthritic degenerative events?
A Subluxation that has undermined the function of their nervous system?

You haven't? That is a shame. Because I can tell you with utmost certainty, if your patients understood
this, they would want much more than pain relief from you. Guaranteed! You would be swamped with
new ones! The problem is that now you may have to actually upgrade your skills and provide them with
something better than you have.
Oh my.....

"No one wants this Wellness thing."
I don't agree. Everyone wants to be better (not just feel better) for themselves and their loved ones.
Everyone. There are no exceptions.
The problem is that the Wellness movement is starting to be marketed to death and people are
beginning to be wary - just like you!
If presented with compassion, understanding, certainty and logic, everyone will choose it.
No exceptions.

"They can't afford to see me."
That is a problem. Most likely because they just returned from their 3 weeks in the Caribbean, bought
their brand new porche, and renovated the house. You are not on the list of importance.
Why?
Because you never bothered to explain to your community what you really do.
And do you really understand what you deliver yourself?
Oh, Oh,....Now I am really close to the mark!

"No one in my town has any money."
Take a look at all those prosperous people in your town. Take a look at the expensive cars and
trucks people in your community drive. Look at the fine restaurants in your town - they are all full every
night. You see, money is plentiful - just not for you. And that is the problem. No one wants to spend
their money on you.
Why is that?
Why would they see the other DC down the street but not you?
And, of course, no one would ever tell you to your face that they do not value your care. They just make
up a series of wonderful excuses:
"I don't have the money."
"The time is not right."
"My husband got laid off"
"Got to clothe my kids"
"Got to get that new truck"
"Got a mortgage payment coming up"
"My kids are so busy after school"
Etc.
Listen....as painful as this may be to hear, here is the reality: They don't have money for you!
Why?
Because they do not WANT what you do. You see, it is a question of want. Theirs!
So here the question of the century: How can you have your patients WANT what you do?
Just one of the things I cover on the Program.....

"Most of my patients don't want to bring their kids in to see me. That is why I see so few."
I understand. But why would that be?
Here is the reality on this and I've said this before:
The percentage of children you see in your practice is a direct reflection
of the level of TRUST your patient have in what you do
Ok... it seems that I am hitting you right in the gonads, but you know I am right.
Parents will never bring their children to see you unless they trust you implicitly. It will not happen any
other way! And the only way their level of trust will escalate is if they start to see you as amazing.
As incredible. As the very best in the area.

And that is what my whole Program is all about. How to have you be the very best.
You see, when that happens, you do not need any of those elaborate marketing schemes that are sold to
DCs out there by so many slick coaching programs. And you know I am right because you've been part of
them and they did not work out for you. And if they did, the results were dismal.
It is not what the people in your community are looking for!

So....if you think that mentioning to you that you need to be the very best people have ever seen, is
some sort of a gimmick I've cooked up, think again.
It is the absolute truth.
And I do not teach my Program because I get paid.
I teach it because it is my hobby and it thrills me to the core when my doctors explode their practices
beyond their wildest expectations. There is not enough money that can buy that feeling.
And if you still feel that mine is some sort of an elaborate marketing scheme, you are not yet ready for
my Program. You need to do some more hard-core selling and trying to convince people to see you.
For all others, I invite you to call me anytime or complete the Practice Health Mini-Check up on my
website.
My warmest wishes to all,
Ogi
